Daryl Feril is a Negrense multidisciplinary artist based in Bacolod City, Negros Island Region, in the Philippines. His practice spans illustration, design, painting, video, and installation, seamlessly weaving these disciplines together as part of his creative process. Through experimentation and integration, he explores various approaches to presenting his ideas.
The themes present in his work are profoundly rooted in his unique migrant upbringing, which has been shaped significantly by a constant shift between diverse places and cultures. This early and continuous exposure to a wide range of environments is thoughtfully reflected in his art—capturing fleeting, everyday moments and intimate experiences, which are often veiled in vibrant hues that invoke strong emotions.
For more than a decade, Feril has built a diverse and vibrant portfolio as an illustrator, collaborating with both local and international brands. Painting, for him, serves as an essential means of breaking free from various constraints, allowing him to explore a deeper and more personal expression of himself.
